History

Kay Walsh quietly dances through everyday life with creative energy that tempts and teases an artist to think in the abstract. No barriers, no limitations inspire bold use of color and endless mark-making possibilities. All the challenges are there for developing art work unique and unusual.

Kay was raised in Illinois, lived in Texas, received a BA from California State University, and travelled as a military spouse before settling in the Northern Virginia area. After college she trained and worked as a graphic designer in Alexandria , Virginia. Continually, she has furthered her fine art interests by pursuing classroom opportunities at Auburn University, Corcoran School of Art, The Art League in Alexandria, and George Washington University with abstract painting.
